Draft, pending lawyer review. We wrote this in plain English and will replace it with a reviewed version before we announce the site. Questions: support@thehivecode.ai.
Who can use The Hive Code
Anyone can look around without an account. To make an account you must be 16 or older. One person, one account. Keep your sign-in methods to yourself; you are responsible for what happens on your account.
Ideas are public
Posting an idea does not reserve it or give you any right to it. Anyone may build any idea, here or anywhere else. The person who posted it keeps the founder credit on The Hive Code and nothing more.
Credit, not ownership
We record who suggested, built, and shipped what. We do not hand out ownership, equity, or a share of revenue. Any business deal between members is between those members.
A suggestion is a gift: when it ships, you earn credit and Honey, not a claim to payment. Honey has no cash value and cannot be sold or traded for money.
What you post
You keep ownership of what you post: ideas, comments, suggestions, screenshots, and your profile. You give us permission to show, share, and promote it on The Hive Code, in share images, and in our marketing. Code you list stays under its own open-source license; we claim no rights to it.
Code from the community
We do not review, run, or guarantee code that members list or link. Use it at your own risk and check its license.
Be decent
The Hive Code is a professional workplace. No sexual or NSFW content, profanity, harassment, hate, spam, scams, impersonation, illegal content, or attempts to break the site or other people's accounts. We can hide content, limit, suspend, or close accounts that break these rules. If we act on your account, you can ask us to look again at support@thehivecode.ai. The full rules are in our community guidelines.
Leaving
You can download your data or delete your account at any time in Settings. Deleting removes your personal data; things you posted publicly stay, shown as from a deleted hiver.
The usual fine print
The Hive Code is offered as it is, while we build it in public. Things will change and sometimes break. We may update these terms; if a change matters, we will tell you before it applies.
