People come here to build real software with strangers who become teammates. That only works when everyone can trust the room. These rules apply to everything you post: ideas, comments, takes, what the hive wants, your name, your picture, and your bio.
Keep it professional
- No sexual, explicit, or NSFW content of any kind, in words or pictures.
- No profanity or slurs. Our filter blocks most of it before it posts.
- No harassment, bullying, threats, or pile-ons. Disagree with ideas, not people.
- No hate. Nothing that attacks people for who they are.
- No spam, scams, or self-promotion that does not help the build.
- No one else's private information, and no impersonation.
- Nothing illegal, and nothing that tries to break the site or someone's account.
Make it useful
- Post the problem, not just the app. Say who it is for and why it matters.
- Search before you post. If the idea exists, back it and add to its thread.
- Be specific in comments. Mark what helps; that is how good ideas rise.
- Give credit. Name the people whose suggestions you build on.
What happens when someone breaks the rules
- Anyone can report a post with the Report button. Anything reported by several members is hidden until we review it.
- We remove what breaks these rules. Each removal can come with a strike.
- Strikes lead to a suspension, and serious or repeated cases lead to a permanent ban. Some things, like explicit content or threats, mean a ban the first time.
- New members' first ideas are checked before they go up, and new accounts have lower limits until they have been around a while.
If we act on your account and you think we got it wrong, write to support@thehivecode.ai and we will look again. These guidelines sit alongside our Terms.
